The AXIT System - Removing The Guesswork
In a typical physio or exercise physiology session your clinician may say, "That looks a little shaky on the left," or push against your arm and say, "Yeah, that feels a bit weak." The AxIT system gets rid of that guesswork. It’s a set of smart sensors that turn those feelings into hard numbers on a screen.
How it works
It’s basically three wireless gadgets that talk to an iPad:
The Plates (Stomp-IT): You stand on these. They tell you if you’re secretly leaning to one side during a squat or if one leg is doing all the work when you land from a jump.
The "Push" Tool (Push-IT): A little handheld device. If the clinician wants to test your shoulder strength, you push against it as hard as you can, and it records the kg of force.
The "Pull" Tool (Pull-IT): This one uses straps. It’s great for testing things like hamstring strength—you hook it to a bench or a wall and pull against it as hard as you can.
The technology helps with.
Spotting Hidden Weakness: You might feel 100% recovered from an old ankle injury, but the AxIT might show your left leg is still 20% weaker than your right. That’s the gap where injuries usually happen.
Motivation: It’s way more satisfying to see a graph go from 40kg to 50kg than it is to just hear "you're looking stronger today." It turns rehab into a bit of a game.
Return to Sport benchmarks: For athletes, it’s the ultimate green light. Instead of guessing if a knee is ready for football, the data can prove it’s hitting the necessary power benchmarks.
