The AxIT System
Measure. Improve. Repeat.
What is the AxIT system?
AxIT is a complete, objective movement assessment solution that uses three smart devices—Push-IT, Pull-IT, and Stomp-IT—to measure exactly how your body is performing.
This data allows our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists to move beyond subjective observation and pinpoint the true cause of your pain, imbalance, or performance plateau.
The AxIT System removes the guesswork, giving you objective, measurable data about your strength, power, and movement so you can recover faster, train smarter, and perform at your peak.
-
What does it measure?
Ground reaction forces, balance, power, and movement symmetry during functional activities.
What tests might be run?
Squats, Jumps (Vertical, Broad, Hop), Lunges, Balance Tests.
-
What does it measure?
Isolated muscle strength in pushing motions (isometric).
What tests might be run?
Shoulder rotator cuff strength, knee extension, elbow extension.
-
What does it measure?
Isolated muscle strength in pulling/isometric motions where you pull against resistance.
What tests might be run?
Hamstring strength, hip abduction, core strength, grip strength.
The AxIT process removes the guesswork from your recovery by first performing objective tests to establish a measurable baseline of your strength, power, flexibility and movement imbalances (e.g., your Limb Symmetry Index). This data then informs a precisely targeted exercise program designed to correct specific deficits. Finally, a crucial re-test objectively confirms that you have regained the necessary strength and function to safely achieve your goals.
FOR RECOVERY
-
Identify left-to-right strength discrepancies that are slowing your recovery or causing re-injury.
-
See your strength gains in an easy-to-understand report, keeping you motivated and compliant with your program.
-
Get an objective "go-ahead" to return to sport, work, or heavy lifting with confidence.
FOR PERFORMANCE
-
Measure power and rate of force development to target explosive movements needed for sports like running, jumping, and lifting.
-
Get the exact numbers to design a personalized strength and conditioning plan.
-
See how your results stack up against evidence-based reference data.
FOR PREVENTION
-
Get a full-body snapshot of your strength and movement to identify potential weak links before they lead to injury.
-
Monitor strength changes over time, especially for chronic conditions or age-related strength preservation.
